Pros and cons of Routie ~ GPS sports tracker app for iPhone and iPad

Routie ~ GPS sports tracker app good for

This app does exactly what I wanted to track my kayaking trails. I saw a previous review stating "waste of money for kayaking," but I decided to try it anyway, since the screenshots and description fit what I wanted perfectly. Im glad I did. It maps my trail, and has a setting to automatically exclude the time I am not moving - such as getting ready to launch or once Ive beached at the end. This gives me time to put my phone in its dry box, get ready to launch etc, without damaging my average speed time. Love that! It keeps constant track of my speed, and can display it on a graph that I can scroll through to see all my highs and lows. My pause points are recorded as well. It records distance, time, average speed and maximum speed - everything I wanted. It does NOT record stroke count, so maybe thats why the other review was negative. I dont care about stroke count - I just want how fast and far I went, with a neat map and graphs, and this app delivers. I tried Motion X, but found it confusing to use, and half the data such as average speed was not even calculating. This app replaced Motion X, as well as Runkeeper and Map My Hike on my phone. Everything on this app is working. Its a say to use and well thought out. I couldnt be happier. This will also be my go-to app for hiking, as it also tracks altitude (which I shut off for kayaking). Overall, awesome job. Well with the $4.99.
I would like for it to give average speed with the option to exclude my top speeds.
Let me just say. This has everything youre looking for and some. More importantly though, it does it both practically, and with a beautifully laid out interface.
What a great app. I am a hiker dog walker and being able to trace my bush routes is an asset for return trips.
Like it a lot. I use it often for both driving and walking stats.
I wanted something simple to use that had Pebble Watch integration. This one lets you configure the Pebble display, start and start from Pebble, tracks altitude, is simple to use, has an uncluttered interface, has no ads. Perfect for what I wanted, great with or without Pebble Watch.

Some bad moments

Such a great application, as I can track my previous rides, routes, and distance. I recommend this to everyone I bike with.
Used this for kayaking today, worked way better than map my run and looks much better as well.
This is a nice app. I especially enjoy the full screen mode. Id like to see current pace in minutes per mile vs mph. As a runner I want to know Im running a 7:12 mile pace, mph isnt very helpful.
This app has it all, and its pretty easy to use. I was impressed by the amount of information it tracks and how it is displayed. The product development team is awesome in responding to issues and fixing them quickly (i.e., saving routes under My Routes). If youre looking for a solid sports/activity tracker, look no further---this it it.
App is great. Has & does everything you need to track your workouts & progress.
We just returned from a 2+ week camping trip and used this app to capture route details. It worked amazingly well, did not drain my battery and was able to pull all kinds of info together for me. Its super easy to use and fun to retrace our steps along the way. One cook feature is that it will automagically pull together the pics youve taken on your trip. Very nice. A few requests: 1. Allow me to add pics to the timeline. For some reason, not all of my pics pulled in. 2. Add the ability to create a travel log / book. PDF would be great. Great work folks - fantastic app!!
